Hello Weatherstone Swim Team Families,

The Weatherstone Sharks Swim Team is gearing up for an exciting 2026 summer swim season, and we’re searching for a Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, volunteer Junior Swim Coaches, and local business Sponsors to support our team! The season runs from mid-May through the end of July.

Coaching Opportunities

Calling all motivated and enthusiastic coaching candidates! This is your chance to lead and inspire a team of 65+ swimmers, ages 4-18, with varying experience levels. We’re looking for head and assistant coaches who can challenge athletes to reach their full potential while keeping the experience fun and rewarding. Practices are held at the Weatherstone neighborhood pool.

Qualified candidates should have:

Prior coaching and/or competitive swimming experience (year-round or collegiate preferred).

Strong technical knowledge of competitive strokes and the ability to design engaging and effective workouts.

Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.

Preferred experience with meet lineups or swim software like SwimTopia.

Preferred certifications: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid.

Coaching Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise swimmers during weekday and Saturday practices from mid-May through July (full schedule (subject to change) available at www.weatherstonesharks.com).

Attend six Tuesday night swim meets and two weekend invitational meets in July.

Develop and implement engaging workouts tailored to each swimmer’s ability.

The Head Coach will create meet lineups and make adjustments as needed. Assistant Coaches will provide support.

Assist with administrative and logistical duties related to the team.

Work collaboratively with other swim team staff and junior coaches.

Volunteer Junior Swim Coaches
Volunteer Junior Coaches don’t need formal coaching experience but should be energetic, patient, and excited to encourage and support young swimmers. Volunteer Junior Coaches will help ensure safety, provide guidance, and make learning fun in the water. They will assist our coaching staff during weekday practices with our youngest Sharks and during meets.
